insight into completeness © 2009; Raj Arumugam, picture: wikipedia

We all see, to varying degrees, the growth of seeds into seedlings and into plants.
We see how these plants flower and then bear fruit.
We observe a natural movement towards what one might call the plant’s completeness – its fulfillment into maturity, a growth into its full potential.
And it is so too, we observe, with ourselves and our world.
There is an inward yearning, a compulsive movement towards growth in all of us.
There is a search for fullness within and for complete growth
But unlike plants and other living beings, our growth has a broader range…
And yet, there are many traditions and systems that attempt to enforce us to stop developing.
They teach us to stifle our natural growth and to even ignore our natural desires and wholesome wants.
These systems forget that a person who is not fulfilled is a frustrated individual and is filled with tension –and such tension is not good for oneself, or for the world.
One’s completeness, one’s full growth in the vast range of one’s being is therefore crucial for a wholesome and dynamic life. Completeness is crucial in one’s life.
There are many dimensions in our being and here’s one way of looking at it, in order to see this completeness of our life:
the physical life/life of the senses
the emotional/affective domain
the creative life
the aesthetic life
life of the mind
life in touch with the universal
This blog offers various insights into this completeness of living.
The blog does not prescribe – but invites you to explore and to see life in its entirety
in terms of our growth and fullness in all aspects of our being.
And yet one’s fulfillment is not an isolated thing. We live our lives in relationships – with other people, with nature and our world and the universe. And therefore it is important, as this blog will stress constantly, that one leads a life that is in harmony with the world.
And in this manner, one comes into full insight into the essence of this blog:
love yourself; love the world…
I hope you will find the various posts insightful and that each encourages your own insight into your life and your completeness.
May we all be happy; may all beings be happy…
